Swedish Duo Delivers a Disco-Techno Anthem Built for Wolfgang Krauser's Long-Awaited Return
Tokyo, 5 June 2026 - Swedish electronic duo Moontalk unleashes 'Sonata', the official stage theme for KAISER HALL in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season 2. The track arrives in lockstep with the return of Wolfgang Krauser, who is one of the franchise's most iconic characters, marking his first playable appearance in over a decade.
Originally debuting as the final boss of Fatal Fury 2 in 1992, Krauser, the self-proclaimed Emperor of Darkness, built his legend on overwhelming power, a towering 2-meter frame, and a commanding reach that left opponents with no room to breathe. His return to South Town is no mere comeback story: having long allowed rumors of his defeat to circulate, Krauser now sees a new fighting tournament as the perfect stage to strike not a requiem for the fallen, but an overture to revenge.
'Sonata' was built to match that energy. Moontalk pairs disco-laced grooves with driving techno house and gamified textures to mirror the theatricality of Krauser's return, and in its essence, turning into a track that feels as imperial and relentless as the man himself. ‘Sonata’ carries the weight of a boss fight and the momentum of a club floor, channeling his commanding presence into a sleek production built for clash and spectacle.
Steeped in arcade nostalgia while cemented in modern club culture, 'Sonata' joins SNK's growing catalogue of artist-driven fight game soundscapes, combining cinematic weight with dance floor momentum, adding ‘Sonata’ as a cinematic cut that locks seamlessly into the ever-evolving Fatal Fury universe.
‘Sonata’ by Moontalk is now available for streaming worldwide.

About Moontalk
Moontalk is on a mission. A groovy, ecstatic, and slightly otherworldly house music mission. Music with one clear purpose, to get earthlings to move, shake it around, and boogie down. With hundreds of millions of streams and a catalogue that blends indie dance, house, and cosmic groove, Moontalk have built a sound that lives somewhere between late night club hypnosis and early morning euphoria. Beyond the studio, Moontalk host their own radio show Moontalking, where they share new music, ideas, and the sounds shaping their universe. They’ve just wrapped their first US tour, returning in July, and are set to land at UNVRS Ibiza this summer alongside a run of new releases already in orbit.
